Located just 2½ hours north of Auckland along a beautiful scenic road, Dargaville is the central town of the Kaipara. Dargaville has a subtropical climate, as does all of Northland - known as "The Winterless North".
Fishing is a great draw card. Species such as snapper, gurnard, kahawai and trevally are common here year round but its the Summer fishing that is the finest.
In the surrounding area known as the Kauri Coast, There are many great walks and tramps. Lynley would be delighted to advise you about these.
